Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver Class 1 specialising in aggregate tipper operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting aggregate materials to various sites, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and vehicle maintenance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on commercial driving and delivery services.
Duties
- Operate Class 1 HGV lorries with aggregate tipper attachments in accordance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely load, transport, and unload aggregate materials at designated locations, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to minimise risks during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with securing loads and ensuring the vehicle is in optimal condition for each shift.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with aggregate tipper or similar heavy goods vehicles.
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence (C+E entitlement).
- Experience with tippers or similar specialised vehicle operations is advantageous.
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, tachograph rules, and best practices in commercial driving.

Pay: £50,120.63-£53,221.83 per year
