Join a renowned pub group in Cheshire's stunning countryside where culinary passion meets exceptional hospitality standards.
The Executive Chef of a group of pubs is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the group at one of its flagship pubs in a beautiful setting in Cheshire. The pub, which also has rooms, is very busy with a high turnover, and the menus are semi-branded. They require a Sous Chef that can take ownership of the food and maintain the standards that are expected by the locals and visitors that return regularly due to the pub's good reputation in the area. The Sous Chef will need to work closely with the head chef and motivated team of chefs to ensure service times run smoothly and the kitchen paperwork is all up to date. The menus consist of favourite pub dishes using a mixture of fresh and bought-in produce. As Sous Chef, you will have a good degree of autonomy on the menus, especially for the occasional private dining and events and afternoon teas that are also catered for, and are able to use both local and national suppliers.
