As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice with a PE and SEND specialism, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum, with a focus on PE and active learning.
- Provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Assist in planning and delivering Physically Active Learning interventions, such as Maths on the Move and English on the Move.
- Help to deliver and supervise PE lessons, extracurricular sports clubs, and lunchtime activities.
- Promote inclusive opportunities for all pupils, including those with additional needs, ensuring every child can participate and progress.
- Support the organisation of school sports events, festivals, and competitions.
- Contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to assess pupil progress and adapt support accordingly.
- Assist with the preparation of resources, displays, and classroom organisation.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
