Job description
Senior Furniture Maker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret drawings and specifications to make and install cabinetry and joinery to a high standard
- Produce, follow and update method statements to keep track of projects progress
- Use machinery, hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Expertise in veneer work and solid timber joinery
- Apply finishes (oils, stains and paints) to a high standard
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe working environment
- Quality control throughout a project's life cycle
- Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors
- Fit and scribe with precision
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Level 2 Bench Joinery Qualification as a minimum
- 5 years proven experience as a full-time employed furniture maker
- Contact/s for references
- Well-organised, tidy, safe and efficient work practises
- Knowledge of safety standards in woodworking environments
Other useful skills / qualifications / etc:
- Own site kit
- CSCS card
- First Aid training
- CAD knowledge (Fusion 360 preferable)
