Yard Operative / HGV Driver Labourer
Based in Gravesend, Kent

We’re a growing, family-run company operating from Gravesend, Kent, with a mixed fleet including 3.5t cage vans, 12t and 32t hook loaders, dustcarts (RCVs), wagon & drag vehicles, and 44t artics. We specialise in stress-free metal recycling, bulk haulage, and waste management, covering Kent, London, and the South East.
We’re currently looking for reliable and professional Yard Operative with either a HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) drivers to join our team.
Role:
The role will include:
- Cable stripping and scrap cleaning
- Sorting and processing waste and recyclable materials
- General yard housekeeping
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- General labouring in the yard and, where required, on-site
- Painting walls, bins, plant and company assets
- Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance
- Taking HGV vehicles to our service provider
- Infrequent driver holiday and/or sickness cover completing deliveries/collections
Candidates must be reliable, physically fit, safety-conscious and willing to undertake a varied hands-on role. Experience in waste, recycling, scrap, demolition or construction would be beneficial.
Ideally, candidates will hold a 7.5T, Class 2 or Class 1 driving licence, together with a valid CPC and driver card where applicable.
