Site Project Manager
Due to recent contract awards and continued, controlled growth, we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Joinery Foreman with a joinery background. Experience in metal stud partitioning, suspended ceilings, and fire door installation would be an advantage.
Role overview
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of joinery and interior fit-out works, ensuring the site team works safely, productively, and to the required quality and program.
Key responsibilities
Team leadership & coordination
· Lead and coordinate a team of up to 20 joiners, dry liners, and ceiling fixers (with support from an onsite supervisor where applicable).
· Maintain productivity across all trades and work areas, addressing constraints early.
Planning, materials & logistics
· Plan daily activities and sequence works to suit the site program.
· Order and coordinate materials in good time to keep teams working efficiently.
Health, safety & compliance
· Ensure health and safety requirements are met and strictly adhered to.
· Maintain weekly health & safety and quality documentation.
Quality, paperwork & handovers
· Ensure all work is delivered to a high standard and defects are addressed promptly.
· Keep quality paperwork and handover documentation up to date.
· Make sure any work started can be completed 100%.
Reporting & program control
· Complete daily site diaries.
· Report delays and constraints to the client promptly.
· Track progress against the onsite program and issue regular progress reports.
· Produce weekly 1-, 4- and 6-week look-ahead programs.
Commercial awareness & ways of working
· Work to agreed budgets and timescales, identifying cost or program risks early.
· Be organized, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative.
Please note: this role may involve covering several small projects.
Essential Skills:
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and relevant regulations.
· Ability to work under pressure and in varying weather conditions.
Key details
Salary / package: dependent on experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday (may vary depending on project needs; occasional weekend working may be required)
Location: predominantly Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Central Belt
