Van Guard Accessories Ltd (part of Bott Group) are a leading UK manufacturer of premium van accessories, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Assembly Operative to support our growing operations. With over 50 years of British manufacturing expertise, we pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Playing a key role in a busy and dynamic assembly department.
- Using hand tools to assemble products to a high standard.
- Accurately assembling and handling critical components.
- Spotting and reporting faults or defects to help maintain quality standards.
- Keeping your workstation and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and safe.
- Managing your own workload and prioritising tasks to ensure production goals are achieved.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an assembly, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment is desirable.
- Confident and competent in the use of hand tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and specifications accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify faults or defects.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
In return, we’ll offer you:
- Annual salary of £26,161 (£12.90 per hour) + Profit Share Scheme after successful completion of probation.
- No weekend shifts: Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 16:00
