Shift Pattern and Hours of Work:
- 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift
- 17:00 - 05:00
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all goods received are receipted in and checked in accordance with HACCP/Quality requirements (Critical Control Point Checks, Temperature, Quality checks).
- Complete relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety and food safety standards and HACCP requirements and to track the service provided.
- Ensure Non-Conformance Reports are completed for all pallet/product/trailer issues and given to Warehouse/Shift Management.
- To monitor and control the Returns/Quarantine Area.
- Operate relevant MHE and ensure all Warehouse Operatives operating equipment are permitted & authorised and that they are operated in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure all MHE users complete a Pre-Check sheet at the start and end of their shift and that any defects recorded are dealt with in a professional & timely manner.
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with Buffaload Logistics’ accident reporting procedure, ensuring statements, photographs, etc., are taken and any MHE involved are placed as VOR until inspected by a competent person.
- Ensure that the warehouse and MHE are left in a tidy and hygienic condition at the end of the shift and Hygiene Records are completed.
- To ensure temperature probes are calibrate weekly and the records are completed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Uniform Guidelines, Health and Safety Policy, Quality Policy & Hygiene Policy
- Carry out other relevant reasonable management requests as required by your Line Manager
- Ensure all goods despatched are recorded on a fully completed Load Plan and all Critical Control and quality checks are completed and recorded.
- Ensure all goods are picked/loaded correctly and secured for safe transit
- Ensure all goods that require stacking/re-stacking on pallet are stacked and secured as far as possible to provide stability for transit reducing product damage.
- Control of warehouse and product security.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Previous experience working within a similar role, business and/ or industry.
Other Criteria:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; towards colleagues and customers
- Must be physically active due to the nature of the role, dealing with heavy goods
- Must be fluent in English due to the nature of the role; being in constant communication with Planning teams, Operations teams, and warehouse operatives
