Join our dynamic dental team as an Apprentice Dental Nurse and embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in patient care and dental nursing. You will support dentists and hygienists while learning essential clinical and administrative skills, all while working towards a recognized qualification in dental nursing. Duties
- Assist dental professionals during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and organization at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining stock levels, and handling patient correspondence
- Uphold strict health and safety standards, including infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a welcoming atmosphere and ensure smooth clinic operations
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with patients and colleagues
- Genuine interest in nursing, healthcare, or dentistry with a desire to develop a career in dental nursing
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and administrative tasks efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when caring for patients of all ages
- Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and study commitments
- No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship program
