An exciting opportunity has arisen for two dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator / Childcare Practitioner to join our busy, friendly preschool team to cover maternity leave may leading into a permenant position.
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Early Years Educator who are committed to providing the highest standard of care and education to young children. The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic and supportive team that truly makes a difference in children’s lives every day.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (NVQ, Diploma, NNEB or equivalent) – this is desirble
- A minimum of two years’ experience working within an Early Years setting ( applications may be considered unqualified if wilingl to train and have some experience.)
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them to thrive
- A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures

Job description / Main duties
- Encouraging learning and development, through play and teaching.
- Creating a secure environment, using imagination to help
children to learn.
- Working with parents to support their children.
- Enabling children to build their literacy, language and
numeracy skills.
- Monitoring progress and planning educational activities.
- Putting together activities which will keep the children
engaged throughout the day.
- Helping children get ready for the transition into a
classroom environment.
- Helping children to become more independent when
carrying out daily tasks.
- Creating the right balance between activities and down time.
- To make learning fun for children.
- To adhere to all policies and procedures
- To attend training and staff meetings
Essential criteria
- Attending training to stay up to date.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Some experience of working in Early years
- Good understanding of child development.
Contract length: Permanent
