We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through play and structured activities. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and learning of young children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, creativity, and exploration.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication at all times.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Support the management team in implementing policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve practice.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
