Job Overview:
The Spray Booth Labourer supports the painting and finishing processes of garage equipment products. This role involves preparing, handling, and finishing components in a spray booth environment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal components and equipment for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking).
- Assist in mixing paints and coatings under supervision.
- Move, hang, and position parts within the spray booth.
- Support spray painters during application and curing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of spray booth, tools, and work area.
- Follow safety protocols regarding PPE, ventilation, and handling of hazardous materials.
- Perform basic quality checks on finished items.
Skills & Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
- Basic knowledge of spray painting or willingness to be trained.
- Physically fit to handle lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Attention to detail to spot surface defects or inconsistencies.
- Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
Progression:
With experience, the labourer may train into a Spray Painter/Finisher role or move into other production areas of the garage equipment manufacturing process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
