Responsible for Managing and Improving the Warrington Warehouse operations, responsible for all shift activities and operational accuracy. Maintain and improve the set standard housekeeping and Safety within the warehouse. Support the Warehouse Manager to achieve the company deliverables of Efficiency, Productivity, and Safety on time to meet operational requirements.
DELIVERY
- Manage and Maintain Stock Accuracy of Warrington Warehouses.
- Responsible for conducting regular stock checks of Product Codes to ensure no variances to system shown stock.
- Ensure any stock variances are investigated and reported to the Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager
- Ensure Picking and Packing Operations are carried out efficiently and accurately, audit where necessary.
- Ensure all admin tasks (e.g., attendance management, timekeeping, and customer delivery calendar updates) are completed and on time
- Ensuring all inbound stock is booked in correctly using the correct purchase order number, and all issues with the booking in of stock is reported immediately to supply chain.
- Sustaining maximum output levels whilst ensuring quality standards are met.
- Ensuring that all Waste is disposed of from Site in line with the WEE Directive and approved Waste Contractors are used.
- Prioritising orders when requested in the system
- Any other duties deemed reasonable as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- Troubleshoot system errors, picking errors or incomplete orders to ensure all KPI’s are met.
- Liaising with Department Managers, Sales Order Processing, Quality, H&S and other Department heads.
QUALITY
- Generate daily reports and follow up on corrective actions for stock discrepancies and picking errors.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the warehouse operations
- Ensure Goods Collection / Trade Counter service provided is of high standard of quality
- Monitor team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
COST
- To continuously improve the warehouse process to seek continuous improvement in productivity/quality.
- Manage departmental activity and expenditure to contribute to the overall site effectiveness
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
SAFETY
- Provide a Warehouse environment that operates efficiently to achieve off loading, picking, packing and dispatch of our products to achieve our targets for the satisfaction of our customers.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Regulations at all levels through adherence to SSOW, RA and ensuring training principles are carried out.
- Create a safe working environment within the Warrington Warehouses for all warehouse operatives
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Managers, Sales and support functions.
- Maintaining and enforcing discipline, ensuring personnel always comply with company regulations, particularly in respect of Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations
- To engage with the company’s people-focused initiatives and drive a culture of personal development.
- Training/multi-skilling warehouse staff.
- Drive and nurture a culture whereby people are valued and engaged
- Use HR tools and techniques to manage the wider operations techniques
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
