Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen and Bathroom Fitter, Painter, and Carpenter specializing in Void Works to join our team in Reading. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on refurbishment projects, focusing on fitting kitchens and bathrooms, performing construction painting, and carpentry tasks within vacant properties. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure high-quality workmanship and smooth project execution. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing professionalism and dedication to quality.
Responsibilities
- Install kitchens and bathrooms efficiently, ensuring all fittings meet safety and quality standards
- Carry out construction painting tasks to prepare surfaces for final finishes or repairs
- Perform carpentry work including framing, fitting doors, skirting boards, architraves, and other wooden fixtures
- Complete void property refurbishments by following project specifications and timelines
- Maintain clear communication with team members and clients regarding progress or issues
- Use driving skills to transport tools, materials, and equipment between sites safely
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during site operations
Experience
- Proven experience in kitchen and bathroom fitting, carpentry, or related refurbishment roles within construction or property maintenance
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Valid driving license with reliable transportation to various sites in Reading and surrounding areas
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, or instructions accurately
- Prior experience working on void properties or similar refurbishment projects is highly desirable
