Job Title: Events Sales Assistant
Location: London, UK
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Entry Level / Freshers / Trainee
Great with people? Enjoy the buzz of events and have a natural talent for starting conversations?
If you're confident, approachable and motivated by working with people, this Events Sales Assistant role could be an exciting first step into a career combining events, customer engagement and sales.
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our London team. You'll work in a customer-facing environment, helping people discover events, answering questions and supporting sales activity while learning how successful events and customer relationships come together.
No previous events or sales experience is required — full training and ongoing coaching will be provided.
Turn conversations into opportunities
Successful event sales starts with understanding people.
You'll speak with customers, learn what they're looking for and help connect them with suitable events and experiences. Along the way, you'll develop valuable skills in communication, sales, customer service and event coordination.
You'll get involved with:
- Welcoming and engaging with customers and event attendees
- Starting friendly and professional conversations
- Understanding customer interests and recommending relevant events
- Answering questions about events, services and promotions
- Supporting event sales and promotional campaigns
- Following up on customer enquiries and opportunities
- Building positive customer relationships
- Assisting with event-day customer engagement
- Working towards individual and team performance goals
- Developing your sales, communication and event coordination skills
Sound like you?
We're more interested in your attitude and potential than a long list of previous jobs.
You could be a great match if you:
- Naturally enjoy talking to and helping people
- Communicate clearly, confidently and professionally
- Are friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused
- Enjoy working towards goals and seeing your progress
- Stay positive in a busy environment
- Are organised and comfortable managing different tasks
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Take feedback positively and enjoy learning
- Have experience in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service or events — although this isn't essential
- Are ambitious and interested in developing your career
Requirements
This is a genuine entry-level opportunity, so previous sales or event experience is not essential.
We're looking for people with strong communication skills, enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine interest in working with customers. Full training will be provided.
Experience
Previous experience in relevant event management, sales, customer-facing, retail, hospitality, marketing, customer service, administration, or related roles is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
What You'll Receive
You'll join a team where learning is part of the role and good performance creates opportunities to grow.
You'll receive:
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
- Comprehensive training and ongoing coaching.
- Clear career progression opportunities.
- Leadership development and mentoring.
- Recognition and reward programmes.
- Team socials and networking events.
- National and international travel opportunities.
- A supportive, collaborative, and inclusive working environment.
Career Development
Start with customer conversations and build towards commercial and event leadership.
As you develop, you'll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility across sales, customer engagement and event coordination.
Potential progression:
Events Sales Assistant → Events Sales Coordinator → Senior Executive → Team Leader → Management
Progression will depend on performance, capability, development and business requirements.
Why Join Us?
This is a chance to learn two sides of the industry at once — how to create a great customer experience and how successful events are commercially supported.
You'll gain hands-on experience, receive coaching and develop transferable skills that can lead towards careers in event management, sales, customer experience and business development.
