Responsibilities
Assist skilled roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools.
Support the preparation of work sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and materials according to schematics and project plans.
Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, and insulation to ensure efficient workflow.
Utilize welding techniques when necessary for metal roofing components or structural supports.
Operate various power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and install roofing materials.
Contribute to fabricating custom components based on project specifications and drawings.
Assist with carpentry tasks related to framing, sheathing, or other structural elements involved in roofing projects.
Support plumbing or masonry work if required for specialized roofing systems or related structures.
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Previous construction experience is highly desirable; familiarity with roofing projects is a plus.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings to interpret project plans accurately.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
Basic understanding of carpentry, masonry, plumbing or related trades is advantageous.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
