Qualified Early Years Lunch Cover Practitioner
£13.22 per hour | 16 hours per week | All Year Round
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 2:30pm

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team as a Lunch Cover Practitioner.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a busy nursery environment, and is looking for part-time hours with the opportunity to increase their hours through additional shifts and cover work.
About the Role
You will support our nursery team during the busy lunchtime period, helping to ensure children receive high-quality care and supervision throughout the day. You may work across different age groups, from babies to pre-school children, depending on the needs of the nursery. We are a homely feel setting over two floors, open 8am-6pm 50 weeks of the year.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children during mealtimes and encouraging independence.
- Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Assisting with personal care routines, including nappy changing and toileting.
- Creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.
- Supporting children's learning and development through play.
- Following nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
- Working as part of a supportive and professional team.
What We're Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Ideally Paediatric First Aid (Although we are willing to put you through this)
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 years.
- A caring, positive, and reliable approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
