About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at MPW London. In this role, you will help deliver a high-quality food service to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and hygienic dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the catering and dining areas
- Prepare, portion, and serve hot and cold food and drinks
- Maintain clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing food displays
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering menu and dietary queries
- Operate the till and process payments accurately
- Clear tables, wash crockery and utensils, and keep kitchen and dining areas clean
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, health & safety, and food storage procedures
- Assist with stock rotation and report any maintenance or supply issues
- Promote safeguarding and welfare of students at all times
- Undertake additional duties as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, team-oriented, and committed to high standards.
Essential:
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (or willingness to complete training)
- Experience in catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Desirable:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of till operation and cash handling

Reporting Line
You will report to the Catering Manager / Head Chef / Head of Operations.
