Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables when necessary
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including responsible alcohol service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Good understanding of serving techniques and customer service principles
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and cash register operations
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests
