Thundercat Pub Diner is looking for an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, leads from the front, and knows how to build a strong, positive kitchen culture. If you’re passionate about quality food, fast-paced service and developing a successful team, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
- Maintain consistently high food quality and presentation standards
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance standards are met at all times
- Manage stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with management to deliver smooth and efficient service
- Support recruitment, training and development within the kitchen team
- Drive performance, standards and consistency during busy services
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Passion for quality food and team development
- Good understanding of stock control, kitchen management and labour control
- Calm under pressure with a hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
