Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Torquay, South West. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality and catering facilities. The Maintenance Assistant will support the maintenance team in keeping our premises in excellent condition, contributing to a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of hotel facilities and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Support the implementation of health and safety regulations within the workplace.
- Assist with minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Report any major issues to the Maintenance Manager for further action.
Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required; however, a basic understanding of maintenance tasks is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a hands-on environment.
