Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing live entertainment and managing the overall efficiency of the bar. The successful applicant will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Coordinate with staff to ensure an excellent service is maintained
- Lead the team in serving customers efficiently while delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and maximise profitability
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Develop innovative drink menus and promote specials to enhance customer engagement
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Supervise cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally within a bar or similar environment
- Strong supervisory experience with team management skills
- and beverage service including barista experience is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both service delivery and operational procedures
