Are you an experienced health, safety and security professional looking for an opportunity to lead and influence safety strategy across a large and complex healthcare organisation?
We are seeking an exceptional leader to take responsibility for the development, implementation and delivery of the Trust's Fire, Health and Safety, Security and Contractor Management arrangements. This is a pivotal role that will ensure the Trust continues to provide a safe, secure and compliant environment for patients, staff, visitors and contractors.
As the Trust's subject matter expert, you will provide strategic leadership, professional advice and operational assurance across all sites, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, NHS guidance and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Working closely with senior leaders and operational teams, you will lead the development of robust governance frameworks, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed. You will play a key role in supporting the Trust's responsibilities relating to safeguarding, infection prevention and control, risk management and incident investigation.
Lead the Trust's Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Security and Contractor Management functions.
Develop and implement strategic policies, procedures and assurance frameworks to maintain compliance and best practice.
Provide expert advice to the Board, Executive Team and senior managers on safety, security and compliance matters.
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including NHS standards and CQC expectations.
Maintain effective systems for risk management, monitoring, auditing and reporting across the Trust.
Lead investigations into significant incidents and support organisational learning and continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to promote a positive culture of safety and security.
Support the Trust in delivering its responsibilities for safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and wider risk management arrangements.
