About Us
Novara is a fast-growing independent used car dealership with an excellent reputation for customer service and quality vehicles. We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business, support our teams, and help drive continued growth.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and ensuring the business operates efficiently across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the dealership.
* Manage and support the Sales, Aftersales, Workshop, Administration and Customer Service teams.
* Ensure high standards of customer service and customer satisfaction are maintained.
* Monitor sales quality, FCA compliance and vehicle handover processes.
* Conduct quality control checks on vehicle preparation before delivery.
* Manage stock flow from purchase through to retail sale.
* Ensure all vehicles meet company preparation and presentation standards.
* Review team performance, set targets and hold regular meetings.
* Resolve customer concerns and support the complaints team where required.
* Improve operational processes to increase efficiency and profitability.
* Liaise with finance companies, suppliers and auction partners when required.
* Monitor KPIs including sales conversion, customer satisfaction, preparation times and profitability.
* Ensure company policies, health & safety requirements and compliance procedures are followed.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous management experience within the motor trade is essential.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience managing multiple departments.
* Good understanding of vehicle sales, workshop operations and customer service.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Experience with dealership management systems.
* Knowledge of FCA compliance and consumer legislation.
* Experience managing stock and vehicle preparation processes.
