.Support Workers – Dayshift & Nightshift
Location: Whiteford House, Ayr
Whiteford House is seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Support Workers to join our team at our modern 31-bed care facility in Ayr.
We provide specialist support for adults aged 18–65 living with a range of complex needs, including:
- Continuing mental health conditions
- Acquired brain injuries
- Learning disabilities
- Long-term life-limiting conditions
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. The role involves delivering person-centred care, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in meaningful activities and daily living.
Both personal care and engagement in social and recreational activities are key aspects of the position. We are looking for individuals who bring energy, initiative, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
As our residents have a wide variety of needs, you must be adaptable, flexible, and able to work confidently within a dynamic care environment.
Shift Patterns
Dayshift: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Nightshift: 8:00pm – 8:00am
Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a health and social care setting is preferred
- A caring, positive, and professional attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt to the varying needs of individuals we support
- SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification)
