Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families in need, providing guidance, resources, and advocacy. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalised care plans.
- Provide counselling and support services to individuals and families facing challenges such as mental health issues, substance abuse, or domestic violence.
- Facilitate access to community resources, including housing, healthcare, and educational services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and case management records in compliance with organisational policies.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices in social work.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community and relevant agencies.
Experience
- A recognised qualification in Social Work (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a social work setting is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of social issues and intervention strategies.
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff effectively, promoting a supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
