We are looking for an experienced domestic air conditioning installer to provide a small amount of practical consultancy and on-site support as we expand our air conditioning installation work.
We are not looking for somebody to carry out installations on our behalf. The role is primarily to:
- Check our engineer’s understanding of domestic AC installation best practice
- Answer and clarify a number of practical installation questions
- Review our proposed methods and procedures
- Share practical advice gained from real-world domestic installations
- Shadow our engineer on one or more customer site visits / installations
- Provide constructive feedback and quality control on the work
- Highlight anything that could be improved before we begin carrying out installations at greater volume
The engineer you will be working alongside is already a qualified electrician, F-Gas qualified, and an experienced commercial maintenance engineer with around 20 years’ experience of plumbing, electrical work and general installation work.
He therefore already has a strong practical skill set and is comfortable with pipework, electrics, drilling, containment, fault finding and working in customer premises.
What we are looking to add is the experience and judgement of somebody who has carried out domestic air conditioning installations day in, day out.
We want an experienced installer who can sense-check our approach, fill in the practical gaps that qualifications and manufacturer guidance don't necessarily cover, and provide reassurance that our installation methods and finished work are up to the standard expected of an established domestic AC installer.
This is intended to be a short-term consultancy / mentoring arrangement initially, rather than a permanent role, although there may be occasional ongoing work for site support or quality-control visits.
Pay: £300.00 per day
Work Location: In person
