About the Role
As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and organisation of your room, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding are consistently delivered.
You will lead, motivate and support your team to create a positive, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining our outstanding standards and helping to shape the culture of our new nursery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room
- Provide outstanding care and learning experiences for all children
- Lead, motivate and support Nursery Practitioners within your room
- Plan, deliver and oversee engaging activities in line with the EYFS
- Monitor children's progress through observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Ensure children's individual needs are met and next steps are planned effectively
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through excellent communication
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
- Create a stimulating, organised and welcoming learning environment
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence
- Mentor and support colleagues to continually improve practice
- Ensure nursery policies and procedures are consistently followed
Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Nursery opening hours: 7:30am – 6:00pm
- Open 51 weeks per year

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or above)
- 1 year's experience working as a Room Leader, Third in Charge or Senior Nursery Practitioner
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience working within a Good or Outstanding nursery
- Confidence leading a team and supporting staff development
- Good organisational and communication skills
