Due to changes at our clients premises in around Glasgow, we are looking to bring in an experienced External Cleaner. This will be a 5 days per week Monday - Friday. The working times for the role will be 07 :00am - 11 am . This employee will have access to 4 or 5 sites within the Glasgow area to assist in cover and additional areas for external work . Rates of pay range up to around £14.85 from £13.45 . More details supplied at interview stage
Work at some sites can be carried out 7 Days a week so person will need to be flexible to accept additional hours
The role will be working at an external retail park and you will be expected to undertake cleaning tasks across our clients site and you will be expected to keep the site cleaned to the highest standard, as per an agreed specification.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure high standards of cleaning are maintained (as per specification).
- To work in accordance with Company Health and Safety Procedures, adopting safe systems of work.
- To check equipment prior to use and to report defective equipment to Site Manager or Supervisors
- To report any hazardous or potentially hazardous situation to Site Manager or Supervisors
- To wear any Personal Protective Equipment issued, as required by Company policy, at all appropriate times.
- To comply with legitimate management requests and instructions.
- To take care of Company equipment and use it only for its intended purpose.
- To only operate equipment for which you have been fully trained or have been given full instructions.
- To ensure that all hazardous substances are handled in a safe and responsible manner.
- To ensure "Caution" or "Wet Floor" signs are always displayed when working.
Person Specification:
- Cleaning industry experience
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations
