Management Accountant
£35,000 - £42,000 (DOE) + Study + Benefits
I am delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturing business, who are looking to appoint an ambitious Management Accountant into a highly visible and varied finance role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience across management accounting, financial reporting, payroll, cash flow management and business partnering, whilst working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
The Role
This is a broad and progressive position, offering a blend of financial reporting, operational finance and commercial support responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis
· Supporting month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
· Completing balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting requirements
· Managing payroll processes and associated HMRC submissions
· Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
· Supporting cash flow management and forecasting activities
· Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and annual audit processes
· Working closely with operational departments to provide financial insight and support decision making
· Supporting inventory controls and stock accounting processes
· Identifying opportunities for process improvements across finance operations
About You
· Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA
· Proven experience producing management accounts
· Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS
· Experience of cash flow management and financial analysis
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
· Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
· A proactive and results-focused approach
Desirable Experience
· Manufacturing sector experience
· Experience working with MRP or ERP systems
· Previous experience in a similar Management Accountant position
