Job Overview
Hull Trinity House Charity are seeking a skilled Qualified Electrician to join our small multi-disciplinary maintenance team, working on the Charity's property portfolio in the City Centre and surrounding areas. This is a varied role involving maintaining accreditation with an appropriate body (eg. NICEIC) to allow continuing repairs / installations to our current commercial and residential properties. The ability and confidence to work on your own initiative is required (although you will initially work alongside the current electrician who will retire in March 2027), along with a willingness to also assist and undertake tasks of different trades as directed by the Works Manager or Estates Managers.
Duties
- Electrical Installation works.
- Routine inspection and testing (EICR's)
- Remedial works following inspections.
- Electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Fault finding.
- Consumer unit / dist. board replacements.
- Emergency lighting installation testing and maintenance.
- Small power and lighting installations.
- Fire alarm testing and potential repairs.
- Completing digital certification and job documentation.
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards.
- A high standard of workmanship is essential as work is predominantly carried out to Historic Buildings.
Requirements
- BS7671, 18th Edition.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2391, test & inspection.
- Good general commercial and domestic electrical experience.
- Polite & respectful manner.
- Driving licence required.
