Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service during their transactions
- Process fuel payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, or mobile payments with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cashier area and merchandise displays
- Assist customers with questions about products, services, or station facilities using clear communication skills
- Promote additional products or services through upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage inventory levels of convenience store items and merchandise, restocking as needed
- Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or customer calls, ensuring clear and courteous communication
Experience
- Prior experience in retail, customer service, or cashier roles is preferred but not required—training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at shift end
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members
- Ability to manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Knowledge of merchandising practices to assist in product placement and promotional displays
