We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely on-site, assisting with material handling and movement across various projects. Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, position and load materials accurately across waste materials on site
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment prior to use, ensuring safety standards are met
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate attachments such as forks or buckets
- Coordinate with site managers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance needs
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including the proper securing of loads and adherence to site protocols
Experience
- Proven experience operating telehandlers
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience working with excavators or similar heavy plant machinery is advantageous
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to heavy machinery operation
This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working efficiently in demanding environments while prioritising safety at all times. Candidates should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7am- 5pm Every third Saturday 7am -1pm
Holiday Entitlement: - 30 days inclusive of bank holidays and 1 day additional each year with a maximum of 5 of days.
Wage: £15 -£16 per hour
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
