As Head of Public Protection, you will provide strategic leadership across a broad range of regulatory and enforcement services, including Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, Housing Enforcement and Corporate Health & Safety.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Housing, Environment and Estates, you will lead service improvement, ensure statutory responsibilities are met and drive the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services. Working closely with elected members, partners and senior leaders, you will provide expert advice and help shape the Council's strategic priorities.

You will work across organisational boundaries, influencing policy, strengthening partnerships and supporting the delivery of the Council's wider ambitions for place, prosperity and community wellbeing.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for performance, budgets, governance and transformational change across the Public Protection portfolio.

About You
We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record of delivering regulatory, enforcement or public protection services. You will have experience of leading high-performing teams, managing budgets and driving service improvement in a complex environment
You will bring:
