We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Resource Planner to support the effective delivery of healthcare services. You will be responsible for ensuring the right staff are in the right place at the right time, helping maintain safe staffing levels and high-quality patient care.
Working closely with clinical and operational teams, you will play a vital role in workforce planning, scheduling, and responding to changing service demands.
Working pattern;
Working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Monday is required with standard working hours of 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
We offer flexibility for the other working week day.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule shifts, using the company software, ensuring that resources meet forecasted business demand profiles.
- Liaise with customers to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage long term and short notice abstractions to maintain resilience levels, continually revising scheduled to ensure demand is met, whilst complying with working time regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Agree timing of implementation of shift patterns to minimise negative effects.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure they are adhered to with working time regulations, maintaining work life balances and safeguard the health and welfare of individuals.
- Being a point of contact for staff regarding their rotas and agreed shifts.
- Working with the Finance and Human Resources teams to ensure that all absences are recorded accurately.
- At the request of the senior management team, providing information and analysis of rotas and workforce use.
- Arranging cover for short notice staff cancellations
- Preparation of appropriate reports as requested by management.
- Promote an open, honest environment, safeguarding and office safety.
- Handle additional administrative duties as required, including filing and maintaining organised staff records and documentation.
- Manage incoming calls professionally, directing enquiries appropriately and providing assistance where needed.

- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using workforce management systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in NHS or private healthcare settings (Desirable)
- Knowledge of safe staffing levels and healthcare compliance standards (Desirable)
- Experience using e-rostering systems (Desirable)
- Familiarity with workforce forecasting and capacity planning (Desirable)
