We're looking for a Weekend Housekeeper to join the team at The Cross Scythes — a much-loved pub with rooms in Totley, known for proper hospitality, great food, comfortable accommodation, and being a real part of the local community.

We're looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our guest bedrooms and public areas during our busiest weekends.
As a Weekend Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our rooms and shared spaces are beautifully presented, helping to create a first-class experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms to the highest standard, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
- Ensuring bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked with toiletries and towels
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout all public areas, including the bar, restaurant, entrance, corridors, and guest facilities
- Replenishing housekeeping supplies and reporting any shortages
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or damaged items promptly
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene procedures
- Working efficiently to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests
- Supporting the wider team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property
- Taking pride in delivering consistently high standards of presentation and cleanliness
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in hospitality and takes genuine pride in creating immaculate spaces for guests.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience within hospitality, hotels, or serviced accommodation (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail
- A reliable, positive, and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Good organisational skills
- A flexible approach and willingness to support the wider team
- Availability to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays
