Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh fish and chips, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter, taking orders with a friendly attitude
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining area in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the register system
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks with effective time management
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
