We are seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded Shop Manager to lead our indoor department covering lifestyle, garden sundries and giftware. Working closely with the Co-Managing Director, you will source and develop inspiring product ranges, drive sales through excellent merchandising, and lead a team committed to delivering outstanding customer service. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and a passion for creating an exceptional shopping experience.
The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with the Co-Managing Director to source comprehensive and inspirational ranges of garden sundries, giftware, seasonal and outdoor living products.
- Co-ordinate merchandising of products within the shop and drive sales and support decision making.
- Lead the shop team by coordinating tasks, managing their productivity, handling customer queries, complaints and specialist advice whilst offering the highest level of customer service.
- Regularly analyse data to assist and ensure sound commercial decisions.
- Assist with staff training, rotas and performance reviews.
- Ensure all relevant and current health and safety legislation is adhered to.
- Any other duties, as may be assigned by the Company Directors.
Requirements:
- Leadership experience in a customer facing environment.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively against deadlines.
- Well-organised and self-motivated.
- Commercial awareness and understanding.
- Keen eye for detail and systematic approach.
- Ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
Pay: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
