We are seeking a compassionate and organised Funeral Administrator to join our dedicated team. This vital role involves assisting to coordinate funeral services with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring families receive respectful support during difficult times. Responsibilities
- Support our funeral arrangers to organise funeral arrangements in accordance with the applicants wishes and cultural requirements
- Prepare necessary documentation and permits required for funeral services
- Assist Funeral Manager with all administration duties with compassion and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records of all arrangements and correspondence
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within the funeral profession or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and discretion when dealing with bereaved families
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required
- A respectful attitude towards diverse cultural practices surrounding funerals
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
Pay: £12.80 per hour
