We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with young children, supporting their development, and fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere. The Nursery Nurse will also demonstrate strong management and leadership skills to ensure smooth daily operations within the nursery setting.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full Time Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education within a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's development. The successful applicant will be organised, communicative, and experienced in working with young children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and educational progress. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs related to the role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety at all times within the nursery environment.
- Plan, organise, and oversee daily routines including play, meals, rest periods, and educational activities.
- Maintain effective communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Lead and support other nursery staff through management duties and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised setting.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and reporting as required.
- Drive company vehicles when necessary for nursery outings or transportation of children.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated management and leadership abilities in a childcare environment.
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Children's Care or equivalent).
- Valid driving licence preferred to support transportation duties.
- Organised with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Passionate about providing nurturing care and fostering positive learning experiences for children.
- Experience
· Essential Qualification: Level 2, 3, 5, or 6 in Early Years Education (full and relevant as per the DFE list of relevant qualifications)
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is mandatory
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare management practice sis mandatory
- The ideal candidate will be organised, compassionate, proactive, and committed to fostering positive early childhood experiences.
