Bank of Ireland is focusing heavily on overhauling our technology. This allocation is crucial to sustain our business growth in addition to improving efficiencies and refining services offered to our customers.
We are seeking a Technical Talent Sourcer to become part of our diverse team and aid the expansion of our Enterprise Services division!
This is an exceptional opportunity to influence the future diversity of our technology workforce. You will help the business secure talent in competitive and challenging technology skill areas.
The role allows you to influence the attraction, engagement, and hiring of the next generation of technology leaders while advancing Bank of Ireland's technology and diversity aims.
In the role of Technical Talent Sourcer, you will:
- Recruit top talent by creating and implementing innovative sourcing strategies and recruiting campaigns.
- Focus on DE&I sourcing to ensure diverse shortlists for hiring managers.
- Partner with recruiting team members to ensure a positive and efficient candidate experience.
- Track candidates and prospects in our applicant tracking system.
- Positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.
- Contact passive candidates and build talent pipelines for future hiring needs while keeping in mind our company's diversity goals.
- Leverage multiple recruiting sources and internet sourcing techniques to identify candidates.
- Collaborate closely with our recruiting team and hiring managers to develop and sustain a robust candidate pipeline to achieve quarterly hiring objectives.
- Interview and screen potential candidates, all while keeping our ATS up to date.
- Partner closely with hiring managers, talent partners, recruiting and sourcing leaders to positively impact hiring.
- Be able to work across internal teams while handling multiple requirements, reviewing candidate profiles, and updating candidate pool.
The technology market continues to present significant challenges:

- Growing demand for AI, Platform Engineering, Cloud, and Infrastructure expertise has intensified competition for talent.
- Many of the best technology professionals are passive candidates who are rarely visible through traditional recruitment channels.
- Building a sustainable pipeline of future leaders requires continuous engagement rather than reactive recruitment activity.
This role is key to assisting Bank of Ireland in reaching its diversity goals while guaranteeing access to the expert talent needed to back our transformation agenda.
We are seeking individuals who exhibit the following qualities:
- Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings).
- Technical sourcing background in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience engaging with senior engineering and engineering leadership profiles.
- Strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
Experience with any of the following will help you to distinguish yourself but is not essential to apply for this role:
- 3-5 years of technical sourcing experience; with recent diversity sourcing experience.
