Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our friendly busy practice. This post is on a part time basis to be discussed with you. WITH NO WEEKEND WORK. If you are confident in day-to-day optical duties and enjoy looking after patients, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Help optometrists during eye exams by getting patients ready and making sure they’re comfortable throughout.
- Take accurate measurements of their eyes using specialised optical tools, and assist with choosing and fitting glasses or contact lenses.
- Manage stock of frames, lenses, and accessories so the clinic stays well-supplied.
- Offer friendly, professional customer service by answering patient questions, record their details accurately in the clinic’s system, and help with admin tasks like booking appointments and keeping records organised.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an optical assistant.
- comfortable with dispensing and patient interaction
- friendly, reliable and team focused.
- Able to work independently when needed.
