Job Summary
We are seeking a experiance and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team in a brand new restaurant in Dumfries. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is desirable, along with a passion for providing exceptional service. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic and supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, bar, and service stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Support event catering services, including setting up and clearing tables
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings if required
- A positive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering high-quality guest experiences
