No qualifications? No problem. We hire for heart and train for skill.
Are you naturally great with children? Are you looking for a career change or a way to start your professional journey in a supportive, family-run environment? At Keeley’s Nursery, we don’t just look at what’s on your CV—we look at who you are.
We are looking for a motivated, "hands-on" Nursery Assistant to join our Horsham team. If you are a hardworking team player who loves the idea of helping children grow through nature and play, we will provide all the training you need to succeed.
Why you’ll love starting your career with us:
- Earn While You Learn: Gain access to over 50 professional courses (Safeguarding, SEN, Health & Safety) and learn the prestigious Curiosity Approach method.
- A Real Support System: You won't be left to figure it out alone. Our senior management team is on the floor with you every day, offering mentoring and guidance.
- A Path Forward: We are a rapidly expanding business. If you show us you’re ambitious, we will help you build a long-term, successful career in childcare.
- Great Perks: Enjoy a free cooked lunch daily, free uniform, and a friendly, respectful atmosphere where your hard work is noticed.
The Role (At a Glance):
You don’t need a degree to make a difference. In this role, you’ll be:
- Engaging & Playful: Creating fun, stimulating environments for children aged 3 months to 5 years using natural materials and "Curiosity Approach" ideas.
- Part of the Family: Working alongside experienced practitioners to ensure the children are safe, happy, and well-cared for.
- A Great Communicator: Learning to use our nursery app to share "wow" moments with parents and building positive relationships with families.
What we need from you:
- Commitment to the Team: Our nursery family relies on each other. We need a reliable, punctual person who can commit to a full-time schedule (40–45 hours per week) and be a consistent face for the children.
- A Positive "Can-Do" Attitude: You’re happy to roll up your sleeves, stay organised, and keep a calm efficiency even when the room is busy.
- A Genuine Passion: You truly care about children’s development and want to learn how to provide the best care possible.
- Reliability: You must be able to provide excellent references and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
A Note on the "Curiosity Approach"
Our nursery looks a little different—we prefer wooden toys, natural textures, and real-life objects over bright plastic. If you have an interest in a "home from home" style of learning, you’ll love it here!
