We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager or Nursery Deputy to join our management team and be a part of the HappyWoods family!
HappyWoods Nursery is a blossoming nursery, holding capacity for 36 children.We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational individual. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a happy nursery, where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. Job Purpose:
The Nursery Manager works closely with the Director whilst also being expected to work autonomously in relation to everyday management responsibilities. The role requires the confidence to make decisions considering the reputation and financial aspects of the business whilst balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
To provide operational management of the nursery facilities and staff, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is delivered at all times. Responsible for company adherence to HappyWoods policies and procedures. Consistently meeting legislative requirements and following education curriculum, delivering standards, which ensure the highest possible inspection grading.
Ensure that the training, support, mentoring and supervision of the staff team inspires and leads practice. To create a safe, caring and welcoming setting in which parents are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
To promote a successful and profitable business, engaging with the local community and marketing the nursery to reach maximum occupancy whilst providing excellent customer care.
Skills/Qualifications:
· A full and relevant level 3 Childcare qualification
· DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
· Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
· Safeguarding training and qualification
· Minimum of 3 years in Childcare and 2 years in management.
We are looking for an experienced full-time Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager to work alongside the Nursery Director and Nursery area Manager and oversee a 36-place nursery setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established, wonderfully resourced nursery.
This is a permanent full-time position with the aim that the Nursery Manager will bring strong support to the team and Nursery Director to oversee high childcare practices under the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and OFSTED guidelines.
The successful Nursery Manager will ensure the nursery is running to the highest possible standard, policies and procedures are compliant and that all programming is in line with the EYFS framework.
Also, an ideal opportunity for a Senior Room Leader, Room-Based Assistant Manager or current Deputy looking for a new challenge to work as a team with the Nursery Manager. You will be embedding Quality Practice from the outset and provide an outstanding service at every level.
Selection Criteria:
- A Level 3 in Childcare education
- Childcare: 3 years - Management: 2 years
- Enhanced DBS cleared
- Strong understanding of Early Years Learning foundation stage (New framework – September 2021)
- Excellent time management skills
- Good computer skills Proven communication skills
- Excellent time keeping and attendance
- Proven ability to establishing trusting, happy relationships with staff, families and children.
- Forward thinker / Passionate in Early Years / Can do attitude
