Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Dimensional Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet specified dimensions and quality standards, contributing to the overall integrity of our manufacturing processes. Candidate must have engineering experience.
Hours will be
- Mon-Thu 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Fri 7:30am - 12.40pm
Rate of pay will be £14.50 ph.
Job is based on site in Stoke on Trent.
Duties
- Conduct precise measurements of components and finished products using specialised inspection tools and equipment, including digital verniers.
- Verify that all dimensions conform to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records for traceability.
- Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities promptly to the relevant departments.
- Assist in analysing measurement data to identify trends or recurring issues affecting product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on process or design flaws impacting dimensional accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during inspection procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in engineering, dimensional inspection, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain precise records.
- Ability to operate various measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with production teams and report findings clearly.
- A proactive approach towards problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
