HGV Class 2 Driver

We're looking for a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy Glasgow (G20) branch. This is an opportunity to become part of a well-established, family-owned business that values its people, invests in its fleet and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday 7.30 am - 4.30 pm
Drivers are expected to complete their daily vehicle safety checks and prepare their vehicle before leaving the branch to ensure deliveries are made safely and on time.
The Role
As one of the faces of JW Grant Group, you'll play an important part in delivering an excellent experience for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers throughout Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a HIAB crane where required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring all deliveries are checked for accuracy before departure.
- Providing friendly, professional customer service on every delivery.
- Working safely and complying with all transport legislation and Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and representing JW Grant Group positively at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- A positive attitude and excellent work ethic
Desirable
- HIAB certificate (training available if required)
- Previous experience delivering building materials or working within a builders' merchant is preferred
