Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques and the ability to work efficiently at heights. Duties
- Install new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, or membranes.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing.
- Inspect roofs regularly to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific roof dimensions.
- Assist with related tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper disposal of debris and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines.
Skills
- Experience in roofing installation and repair.
- Using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring tapes.
- Competence with power tools including drills, saws, nail guns, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and material handling.
- Physical fitness for working at heights, lifting heavy materials, and working in various weather conditions.
