Receptionist – The Cattle Vet
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £26,437–£29,120 per annum (dependent on experience)
At The Cattle Vet, we believe that great businesses are built on great people. We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and personable Receptionist to join our growing team. This is much more than a front-of-house role – we're looking for someone who wants to be part of a progressive, proactive veterinary practice that is passionate about delivering exceptional service to our clients and supporting one another every day.
Our Culture
Team culture is at the heart of everything we do. We know that skills can be taught, but attitude, positivity and a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment are what make people truly successful here.
We're looking for someone who aligns with our values and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, support colleagues and continuously improve how we work. We celebrate successes together, tackle challenges as a team, and genuinely enjoy working with one another.
The right person will be someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, friendly and approachable.
- Takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
- Is proactive and happy to take initiative.
- Thrives in a busy environment and can manage multiple priorities.
- Wants to contribute to a business that is continually looking for better ways of doing things.
The Role
As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of care and professionalism that The Cattle Vet is known for.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answering telephone calls and responding to client enquiries.
- Greeting clients and providing a welcoming, professional service.
- Booking appointments and managing diaries.
- General administrative duties.
- Supporting the veterinary team with the smooth running of the practice.
- Helping maintain an organised and efficient reception.
Opportunities Beyond Reception
For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to assist our vets by scribing during TB testing. We'd be particularly interested in applicants who are keen to learn about this aspect of the role and who would enjoy becoming more involved with the clinical side of the business alongside their reception responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
Experience in reception or administration is advantageous, but equally important is your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We value people who are dependable, organised and genuinely enjoy working with both clients and colleagues.
If you're looking for a role where you'll be valued, supported and encouraged to develop within a progressive veterinary business, we'd love to hear from you.
