This is a senior role in our Strategy & Insight team, where we help clients make better decisions about how they attract, recruit, retain, and motivate people. That work takes different forms: EVPs built from research with leaders and employees; channel and content strategies for recruitment campaigns; audience insight that tells a client who they're really competing with for talent, and what it would take to win; and engagement and internal communications work that helps organisations keep and motivate the people they already have.
This isn't a backroom research role. You'll be in the room with clients from the first conversation, and you'll:
- Lead your own projects end to end, from scoping and planning through to delivery
- Spend real time inside client organisations – interviewing partners and executives, running workshops and focus groups with employees, in the UK and overseas
- Turn what you find into clear strategies and recommendations that senior stakeholders act on
- Help clients embed their EVP and employer brand across large, complex organisations
- Translate data and research into propositions and themes that our creative team can base their work on and lead the pitch process to ensure the work is grounded in insight from start to finish.
- Line manage and develop junior team members.
Some of the most varied strategy work in the field. You'll move between sectors, countries and problem types, working with some of the biggest and most interesting organisations in the world, and building direct relationships with senior clients. We'll also back you to build a profile beyond the agency: our consultants speak at industry events and have multiple opportunities to build their own networks and profiles.
You'll join a small, growing team, which means real influence over how we work and what we take on, and real room to progress. We're hiring this role with the next step in mind: for the right person, there's a clear route to leading and growing the team.
We'll be honest: the work is quick, the standards are high, and you'll often have several very different projects on the go at once. If variety at pace is what you're looking for, you'll enjoy it here.
You'll probably have an agency or consultancy background. That might be in employer brand and recruitment marketing, or it might be in employee engagement, internal communications, or people and culture – we're interested in both, because understanding what it's like to work somewhere is where good employer brand work starts. You will do great in this role if you enjoy being part of a lively team in an office and creating relationships with other departments.
You'll bring:
- Experience leading research or strategy projects for large organisations and presenting to clients
- Confidence interviewing and facilitating with senior stakeholders, from partners to frontline employees
- The ability to distil research, data and differing opinions into clear recommendations people can act on
- Excellent writing, adaptable to everything from C-suite recommendations to candidate- and employee-facing communications
- Experience shaping, leading and winning pitches.
- An open mind, flexible attitude and new ideas about how we can do things differently in order to stand out and continue to impress our clients.
